The laying down of another marker has taken place, this time in a fashion sense.
On Sunday, Ezra Klein and Matt Yglesias launched Vox.com (sponsored by mega-corp profit monster G.E.), a “new way of delivering the news.” Yglesias, the site’s executive editor, caught Twitter’s eye with his fashion choice in the announcement video:

Sharp!
Twitter was mesmerized:
That @mattyglesias jacket was one of those Men's Warehouse deals where you buy one suit, get 10 free, plus a bushel of crab claws.

here's hoping @mattyglesias has a post lined up describing his shopping experience looking for a new suit

2 things Matt Yglesias thinks he's good at, but isn't: 1) Mixing patterns 2) economics.

If understanding the news means having to watch a video of Matt Yglesias in a suit on my phone, no thanks, I'll stick to making fun of it.

Just as @slate hits the big time with the Travolta Name Generator, @Vox will be known primarily for the Yglesias Fashion Emergency. #wonk

@exjon @voxdotcom "as God is my witness I thought #aca would fly!"

Yglesias's suit looks like what someone in 2014 would wear as envisioned in 80s scifi.

What's the worst part of Yglesias' ensemble?
A) The purple glasses.
B) The sports(?)coat.
C) The Stevie Wonder tie.
D) The gd ascot.— LilMissRSPECT (@LilMissRightie) March 09, 2014
